Welcome to Laikipia

Ol Gaboli is found within Laikipia - a mosaic of open land, rare wildlife, and deep-rooted communities living alongside nature.
experience OL GABOLI
Locally owned,
warmly hosted

Welcome to Ol Gaboli, named in Maasai for the fig tree that has stood for generations at the heart of our lodge. ‍Set alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, Ol Gaboli is more than just a place to stay - it's a fresh perspective on Kenyan safari, welcoming you into the rhythms of the land we call home.

We are proud to be the only all female, all Maasai owned lodge in Kenya, led by the Ol Gaboli Women's Group. In June 2025, the Women’s Group partnered with a new team, to create a boutique, community-led experience for safari visitors to Kenya.

Surrounded by a wild and generous landscape - elephants crossing the river at dawn, birds taking to the sky by day, and lions roaring at night - a trip to Ol Gaboli is never forgotten. Whether you're here for wildlife, connection, or calm, our team look forward to welcoming you soon.

Conservation managed by our community

We offer safaris the way they should be: unhurried, respectful, and led by people who know this land best. Walk the bush, track wildlife, or simply sit and watch — here in Laikipia, the wild comes to you.

Bandas to escape
from reality

Our bandas are hand-built, open to the landscape, and designed with simplicity and comfort in mind. Each one sits by the river, with vast skies overhead and the sounds of the bush all around — nothing fancy, just what matters.

"Beautiful nature and scenery and great hospitality! We have really enjoyed our stay here, great place to disconnect, and enjoy the nature."
"My first visit to Kenya and Ol Gaboli didn't disappoint. Didn't see another vehicle in an entire week."
